About Walkers 4 Life

My name is Robin Shannon and I am a Breast Cancer Survivor.

I created this site to help raise awareness about breast cancer in young women. In this site you will find breast cancer resources, information on research and of course information about my current fundraising efforts.

In the past I have participated in many fundraising runs and walks. I have also been a participant in three different breast cancer research studies.  This year I will be walking in 2 Susan G. Komen For The Cure Breast Cancer 3 day Walks.  I will be walking in San Francisco in October while my husband crews for the first time and I will be walking in San Diego once again as the team captain of Walkers 4 Life.  Walkers 4 Life will also be a team our local Relay For Life of Lake Elsinore.

Last year, in 2009 my team Walkers 4 Life raised over $21,ooo for the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk and were doing it again in 2010.  This year we have a team in both San Diego and San Francisco so if your looking for a team in one of those cities come join us. Can’t wait for Walkers 4 Life to represent in both cities.

In 2009 I once again had a team at the Relay for Life of Lake Elsinore and I was also the Co-Event Chair for the event.  We had a great event we raised over $83,000 and my team raised over $3000.  Once again this year I am Co-Chair of the event and will have a team, I am looking forward once again to this great community event.

Thanks Beckie, I am so glad you have decided to start a team this year for the 3 Day. It is such a great cause, everyone does deserve a lifetime. Glad to help you out with your logo. Good Luck this year.
